Winterball Fast Facts

It's not too soon to start thinking about registration for Winterball. Winterball is an opportunity for all CGSO league players to develop their skills while representing our league in weekend double-header games against other Norcal league teams. Practice begins August 1st and is usually twice a week.

The season begins with a seeding tournament held on Labor Day weekend. During the season, September through early November, double-header games are played on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the division. The season concludes with a championship tournament held mid-November.

Winterball is a great time for players who love the game to improve their skills in a more casual setting than the spring league. Many player choose to "play up" a division in Winterball to get a head start on the following Spring season when their age will require them to move up anyway.
